Trip notes

Is it right for your kids?

Wexl Trails is built around families: a dedicated Mini Bikepark welcomes children from age 3 (right track) and 5 (left track), with a 90-metre conveyor belt that even takes balance bikes and scooters, so the youngest can ride before they could manage a chairlift. Older kids graduate to a long, gentle green flow line, woom rental bikes and protection are on hand, and Bike School Pekoll runs intro courses from age 6. If you have a 3-to-10-year-old taking their first proper trail laps, this is about as approachable as a trail centre gets.

Trails to know

Mini Bikepark (right track)

Mini Bikepark (right track)

· short loop

From age 3: gentle curves and flat wooden elements through the meadow for first balance and cornering, reached by the 90 m conveyor belt; balance bikes and air-tyre scooters allowed.

Mini Bikepark (left track)

Mini Bikepark (left track)

· short loop

From age 5: faster, with a forest section and a Mini Jumpline of small tables plus one easy wooden drop for first jumps.

Flowtrail / Flowline

Flowtrail / Flowline

· ~4–4.5 km

Long, gentle gravity flow line (max ~6% gradient) from the lift top; Bike School Pekoll runs intro courses on it from age 6.

Singletrail

Singletrail

· 3.7 km

Technical with root sections, rocks and steep pitches β€” for confident, progressing riders, not first-timers.

Good to know for parents

Pre-booking rental bikes online is mandatory β€” woom bikes (sizes 1-3 and 4-6), kids' MTB hardtails and fullies (24"/27.5") are stocked but not guaranteed for walk-ins; pickup from 9:00, return by 17:45.
Protection hire is available for kids and adults (half-shell and full-face helmets, knee/elbow pads, protector vests, plus bundled sets); children's gear is cheaper than the adult rates.
The easyLOOP tow lift only takes bikes with 20-inch wheels or larger; smaller kids ride the 90 m conveyor belt in the Mini Bikepark, and a shuttle bus is offered as a family alternative.
There's a practice station with an explanation board at the valley station to test the easyLOOP system before your first real lift ride β€” worth doing with kids.
Panorama Trails to the summit only run 15 May to 15 Oct; the Mini Bikepark and Flowline are the reliable family core, and parents can watch the Mini Bikepark from the Wexl Lounge sun terrace.
