Is it right for your kids?

Mottolino is a serious jumps-and-freeride park, so it suits families with kids who already ride confidently rather than total beginners — there are no green trails, and the gentlest line ('Take It Easy') is a long flowing blue. That said, junior rental bikes, instructor lessons open to children, protection hire and a beginner blue served by the bike-ready Yepi chairlift make it workable for older or experienced kids.

•Easiest lines are blue, not green — Mottolino publishes no green trails, so even the gentlest descent ('Take It Easy') assumes a confident young rider rather than a first-timer.
•Junior/kids' bikes are available at Mottolino Rent (e.g. 'Downhill Junior'), and the operator offers two- or three-hour instructor lessons, with lessons referenced for kids — book via the headquarters.
•Protection is rentable at the base (rental packages include helmet and protections); reviewers also report easy, reasonably-priced protection hire from Dr Rent at the bottom of the park.
•The Yepi chairlift now runs with bike transport, and a new blue trail for beginners is available near the lift, giving an easier progression zone than the main gondola top.
