Trip notes

Is it right for your kids?

Kopřivná is one of the more genuinely kid-friendly Czech parks: two easy FAMILY routes are just forest roads with no mandatory jumps, the FunTrail is built for children and beginners, and the on-site bike school takes children from age 5. The chairlift has bike carriers so smaller riders don't have to earn the descent. Note that the park publishes no minimum age for riding or lift use, and we couldn't confirm dedicated kids' rental bikes — so plan to bring a child-sized bike if your rider is very young.

Trails to know

FAMILY 1

FAMILY 1

· 3 km

Easy gravel/shale forest road with no jumps or berms — fine for families and nervous first-timers on any bike.

FAMILY 2

FAMILY 2

· 1.5 km

Gentle ski-slope route described for tricycles/scooters and the smallest riders.

FunTrail

FunTrail

· 3.2 km

Smooth, rock-free flow with small jumps and banked turns; described as suitable for children and beginners (jumpable at speed, rollable slowly).

BabyZilla

BabyZilla

· ~750 m

Technically demanding jump line (2–6 m features) with double-gaps; largest features can be bypassed. Sibling of the DirtZilla trail and aimed at advanced riders, not a beginner/family option.

Good to know for parents

The bike school teaches children from age 5, with kids' camps and individual lessons; the operator recommends a lesson for first-timers rather than just buying a lift pass. Note: age 5 is the bike-school teaching age, not a published minimum age to ride or use the lift.
A Skills Centre (next to the rental/service centre) offers berms, terrain bumps and first jumps for warming up; sources describe terrain-feature practice zones, not a magic-carpet/conveyor lift.
FAMILY 1 and FAMILY 2 are simple forest-road/ski-slope routes ridable on a normal (rigid) bike with no mandatory jumps — a genuine no-jump option for nervous kids.
Freeride bike rental runs about 800 Kč/4 h or 1200 Kč/day; e-bikes are rentable and the climb (uphill) trails can be ridden without a lift ticket.
Base has a bistro at the lower lift station plus the Mountain Hotel Kopřivná restaurant, a campground (about 150 Kč/person/night), wellness with outdoor pool, and a funpark (trampolines, climbing wall, inflatable castle) for non-riding siblings.
