Trip notes

Is it right for your kids?

Bike Kingdom Park at Lenzerheide leans freeride, jumps and racing, but it has a family-capable base: a free Skill Center at the Rothorn valley station with practice trails, a pump track and small jumps where kids and beginners can learn before heading up. The Skill Center loops are aimed at younger children (the operator describes them as appealing to roughly ages 5–7), children's lift tickets run from the 6th birthday, and kids' bikes and protectors are rentable on site (Pesko). It is a reasonable family choice if your child already has basic bike handling and you ease into the Skill Center first.

Trails to know

FLOWline

FLOWline

Described by the operator as a fast, flowy beginner practice line in the Bike Kingdom Park β€” the easiest of the park's five freeride trails.

Skill Center (Rothorn valley station)

Skill Center (Rothorn valley station)

Free practice area at the Rothorn valley station with practice trails, a pump track, small jumps and a conveyor belt; loops are aimed at younger children (roughly ages 5–7) but open to all.

PRIMEline

PRIMEline

One of the park's five freeride trails. The operator does not publish per-trail colour grades; trails are described overall as ranging from relaxed/beginner-friendly to challenging/expert.

Good to know for parents

Children's lift tickets apply from the 6th birthday up to and including age 15; from the 16th birthday adult rates apply. This is a ticket category, not a stated minimum riding age.
Kids' mountain bikes and kids' park bikes are rentable from Pesko in Lenzerheide, selected by each child's height and weight with suspension and seat adjusted; protectors suitable for the bike park are provided with park-bike rentals, and helmets/protectors are rentable.
Start at the free Skill Center by the Rothorn valley station β€” practice trails, a pump track, a conveyor belt and small jumps let kids build technique before riding the park.
On-site bike schools (Bike School Lenzerheide, plus the Bear Bike Gang and Kids Bike League programmes) offer structured coaching for children, organised by age group from balance-bike level up to teens.
An expanded Skill Center at the Rothornbahn valley station is part of the announced summer 2026 upgrades β€” worth checking current opening status when you book.
